Combining three generations of beekeeping expertise with the unique Australian landscape, Biosota Organics' family-owned and operated Manuka honey is of medical grade. All our Manuka honey is cold-extracted and not heated or pasteurized to preserve bioactivity levels, as we are fully committed to organic, sustainable, and ethical beekeeping best practices with as little human intervention as possible.

Carefully selecting the location of our hives and the time of year they're positioned, we take advantage of the short 2-6 week Manuka flowering season to harvest the nectar from wild Manuka blossoms located in pristine rainforests and national parks along Australia's east coast. This results in a rare and authentic organic Manuka honey. We track our honey from hive to jar, and each jar is independently tested to ensure its potency, purity, and quality.

Australia has a diverse range of Manuka, with 83 species, 12 of which have bio-active properties, unlike New Zealand which has only one. The higher the Methylglyoxal (MGO) content, the higher the concentration of this naturally occurring compound in authentic Manuka Honey, resulting in greater quality, purity, taste, and strength.

At Biosota, we follow organic farming practices. Our plants and flowers have not been treated with synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or other chemicals. We do not use antibiotics on our bees, and no chemicals are used in the honey processing. Crystallization is a naturally occurring process but does not affect the quality, taste, or efficacy of the honey.
