Welcome to Kastormed! Kastormed Honey Gauze Dressing is a non-adhering and breathable mesh tulle dressing. The honey used in this product comes from the Leptospermum scoparium plant in New Zealand, and it can effectively help wounds heal faster while preventing infections.
The manuka honey gauze dressing helps remove harmful tissue from the wound bed and maintains an ideal moist wound healing environment. It does not stick to the wound and can be applied and removed painlessly.
Product Details: - 95% active honey (Medical grade) - 15 packs per box - Each gauze dressing is individually packed - Each wound care gauze measures 2" x 2"
Product Features: - Soft, comfortable, and breathable - Effectively absorbs wound exudates to keep the wound in a more sanitary environment for faster recovery - The active honey is released once it contacts the wound, and the dressing absorbs exudates and forms a gel layer to promote wound healing - Helps heal and soothe dehydrated or dry wounds - The honey gauze dressing will not adhere to the wound, unlike other dressings - Easy to use and remove, not messy and sticky like tube-style dressings
Kastormed Honey Gauze Dressing is suitable for various kinds of moderately to heavily exudating wounds, such as pressure ulcers, foot diabetic ulcers, leg ulcers, surgical wounds, 1st & 2nd-degree burns, traumatic wounds, and lacerations.
Honey Gauze Dressing is a must-have in any first aid kit, as it is a highly versatile option for wound care and an essential supplement for any skincare or post-operative project.
How does manuka honey work? As wound fluid enters the dressing, the honey is released while the dressing absorbs it and forms a gel to create an optimal wound healing environment. Leptospermum Honey has been shown to have several active properties that assist in promoting an optimal healing environment while having a low pH to help lower the overall wound pH, which is beneficial to chronic wounds.
Easy to Use: 1. Clean the wound and its surroundings before applying the dressing. 2. Peel off both pieces of the transparent protective film, then remove the honey gauze. 3. Place or pack the dressing into the wound (the shape of the product can be cut if necessary). 4. Use a secondary dressing to keep the honey gauze in place.
Tips and Advice: - Do not use if the inner packaging is damaged. - If signs of clinical infection occur, consult a healthcare professional. - Ensure the gauze dressing pad (2" x 2") is bigger than the wound size. - Fix the gauze dressing pad with a self-adhesive bandage, tube-like bandage, or any other adhesive dressings. - Consider using it in combination with our "silicone foam dressing" for better wound protection.
